Below are the required Minimum Specifications needed to access and run the courses provided by the Virtual School. While computers with higher specifications will download and run the courses faster, the specifications below are satisfactory. Also included are the specifications for technology to be provided while available to students of the eCP program.
Minimum Computer Requirements
- Windows-based PC (Pentium 3 or higher with minimum of 256Mb RAM)
- Internet browser (recommended: MS Internet Explorer 6.x or Netscape 7.x or higher)
- 80MB of available hard drive space
- A sound card, speakers, SVGA video card, and a microphone for some courses
- A CD-ROM drive
- Reliable internet access: Minimum 56 kbps-speed modem
- Office suite software compatible with Microsoft Office 97 (must include word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications)
- Real Player software (free download)
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or above (free download)
