The Virtual School works in concert with the University of Texas at Austin to provide Credit by Examination (CBE) for students interested in obtaining credit through this educational alternative.

CBE Registration and Testing Dates

In order to provide better service to students interested in earning credit through examination, we have designated the following registration and test dates for the 2009-2010 school year.

ONLINE STUDY GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE

Click here for a list of exam study guides that are available. The guides will give you an overall synopsis of what may be covered in the exams. Students are encouraged to use the guides along with any textbooks that cover the information.

Students are able to complete Credit By Exam (CBE) to obtain credits for courses which they have or have not had previous instruction (Except PE).

Eligibility: Students with or without previous instruction for a course.

Time Limitations: Students have 60 days to complete the CBE from the date the Virtual School orders the exam.

Pricing: $30.00 per exam

Credit Award Criteria: Students will be granted subject credit (except for PE) provided the following conditions are met:

• Student without previous instruction must score a minimum of 90 percent on the CBE. No score below 90 will be posted on the student record.
• Students with previous instruction must score a minimum of 70 percent on the CBE. No score below 70 will be posted on the student record.

Enrollment Criteria: A counselor must approve each exam.

Los estudiantes pueden tomar un examen para obtener credito para sus clases sea que hayan recivido instruccion previamente ó no.

Eligibilidad: Estudiantes con o sin instruccion previa de la clase.

Limitaciónes de Tiempo : Desde el dia que se ordena el examen, el estudiante tienen 60 días para completar el exam.

Fechas de Inscripción : Los estudiantes pueden pedir un Examen Para Crédito durante cualquier fecha del año.

Criteria para Aplicación de Crédito : El estudiante recivira crédito para la clase (excepto educación física) si logra las siguientes condiciónes:

• El estudiante sin instrucción previa recive un minimo de 90 porciento en el examen. Calificaciónes menos de 90 no seran reportadas.
• El estudiante con instrucción previa recive un minimo de 70 porciento en el examen. Calificaciónes menos de 70 no seran reportadas.

Enrollment Criteria: El consejero escolera debe aprobar los examenes.
